§ 900. License
Renewal
A. A psychologist is eligible to renew their current license until July
31 of each year upon submission of the required renewal fee,
renewal application form and fulfillment of all continuing education
requirements as defined in LAC:46 Part LXIII Chapter 8.
B. A license may be valid for one year beginning August 1 through July 31
for each renewal period.
C. A Person whose license has been suspended is not eligible for
renewal. Reinstatement procedures of a suspended license may be
established through a Consent Agreement, or after a period of two years
from the date of suspension a person may reapply for licensure.
D. A Person whose license has been revoked is not eligible for renewal.
However, after a period of more than two years from the date of
revocation, a person may reapply for licensure.
§901. Renewal of Lapsed Licenses
A. If the licensee is not
renewed by the end of July, due notice having been given, the license
shall be regarded as lapsed for the year beginning with that August. Such
lapsed license shall not be listed in the directory.
B. In accordance with R.S.
37:2354.C, within two years of the lapsing of such license, the license
may be restored upon payment of a reinstatement fee equal to the current
application fee and the current renewal fee.
C. After two years of the
lapsing of such license, the license may be restored to active status by
the payment of a reinstatement fee equal to the current application fee
and the current renewal fee provided that the person is in compliance with
R.S. 37:2357.A and the rules and regulations of the board.
D. The person shall not practice
psychology in Louisiana while the license is lapsed.
E. A lapsed license shall be
reinstated as of the date all applicable requirements of R.S. 37:2357 have
been met. However, the board retains the right to reinstate licenses
retroactively in unusual circumstances as specified in the policy and
procedures of the LSBEP.

§ 903. Changes of Address
A. A licensed psychologist shall notify
the board within 30 days, with documentation, attesting to any change of
mailing and/or home address. This documentation notice shall include the
psychologist's full name, license number, and the old and new addresses.
B. Should a psychologist be displaced to
a temporary location due to an emergency, the psychologist shall notify
the board within 30 days, with documentation attesting to the temporary
change in mailing and/or home address. The documented notice shall
include the psychologist's full name, license number, old address and new
temporary address.
